Aditya Tikku, Managing Director of MIVDO, discussed his revolutionary talent discovery and free speech platform from Treta Marketing and Services Private Limited in his recent interview with a web portal. Here, we are sharing some of the questions and their answers about the vision and mission behind this fastest growing Indian app.....'Bharat ka apna App'.
When did the idea of MIVDO come about and why did you think it would have appeal?
Years ago, I tried to do this on the web but It was too early. I had to wait for smartphone penetration and broadband speeds to pick up. As Smartphone technology has started to disrupt various platforms around the world, we have raised seed capital and started to build MIVDO. It is a mobile talent discovery and free speech platform that enables engagement between talent and social change makers. The app is free to download. We are nurturing an online community of talent and for social good.
The 2 minutes upload — this seems a short amount of time. How can talent be assessed in such a short time?
You know in a few seconds if you like a talent or not. Talent is dynamically judged, just like you would do with Tinder where you swipe right or left. People can also upload longer videos to their profile to showcase their talent and express their views.
How broad a talent reach do you see it having?
Right now we have Music, Modelling, art, cooking, Dance, Sports, Acting and Comedy. We will be adding categories. We recently launched a contest titled as MIVDO SUPERSTAR. It's a great fun seeing how the generation y and z interact with the app. I love our country India, the energy and the people’s love for technology.
